Great weekend behind him has STK´s player Tamás Méry, after playing his first competitive match for A team and shining in the reserve team.
He might be only 17, but at STK he is praised highly. Tamás Méry returned to STK during the winter to break into the first team. After having played pre-season matches, the competitive debut came on Saturday against Inter. “Before I came on, I was nervous, as it would be my first professional match. At the same time I was very delighted that coach trusted me enough to play me,” he said after the match. Tomi came in ten minutes before the end but he showed glimpses of his potential. “When I entered the pitch, the stress fell off me and I was focused only on giving my best for the team.” STK did not manage to win, having lost by 3:2. “We were not happy about the result, we wanted to win, but I still think we played well and fought for each other,” Mery evaluated. He made up for the bitter debut on Sunday with two goals at 7:0 win by STK’s reserve team. He hopes to score for A team soon, too.
